that's dreadful - its insidious and quite draining for the recipient, I'm sure.

My own thoughts on it are that the sender should get one warning and the next time it happens (because unfortunately it seems that just ignoring doesn't mean it stops) the whole gets 'quoted' and answered 'out there' - no names, of course.

I do think that because its not a face to face thing, people tend to say things that they would not otherwise come out with, which is why I personally like the 'out there' reply, because then the sender can see how it looks to a 'recipient'.


But really, those are bad figures.... I liken it to blackmail.

screw bullies... we need to show them a lesson i think. i know revenge isnt the way but giving them there own medicine might open there eyes!!

i think there should be a punishment system when someone constantly harrases or bullies another, a penalty like a fine or something like that should be done!!!!

Then another boy from the same school killed himself aswell and they say it wasnt because of txt bullying but lots of people think it was...

this is all too horrible... there must be a way to stop it all.

well in the next few years here in nz theyre going to try improve mobile phones so you have to accept the number before they can txt you or something....so if sum bully is trying to txt u if you havent accepted their number they cant txt you.. l

heck yea...its sad that people have to put up with that...and its sad that people do it..i couldnt do that to a person..i couldnt bombard someone with awful txt messages teasing them and putting them down..its just not me and it makes me sick that other people are so low that they can do it..it really does make me sick

i will admit, i was mean to this one guy back in yr 7 (that was round about 5 yrs ago) and i think i did it out of popularity. i used to swear at him whenever he made a point of view in a class discussion, and one time i pulled his chair back and he fell and hurt himself.

although i still apologise to him as were ok friends now (he lives in qld now) i still have regret and i havent yet forgiven myself for it!!

I dont think i have ever been horrible to anyone...everyone used to be horrible to me when i moved to where i live now because everyone here was like stick thin and i wasnt so yeah..lol ive been txt bullied a couple of times but it wasnt them teasing me..just swearing at me lol..stupid really...i mean that 12 year old girl who killed herself because of txt bullying..its horrible....she was so young and she didnt deserve it..no-one does

yeah people were horrible to me when i was in yr 11 (i should be in yr 12 atm but dropped out to go to tafe). they all accused me of cheating on my boyfriend when i wasnt

maybe it was karma?? im not sure but it was horrible. i never got txt messaged but i did get a few phone calls which i ignored.

i agree... no one deserves to be bullied and i hope that they get that txt message acceptance thing up and going soon

it is deffinately very sad stuff...

there was a 14 year old girl from canada who killed herself because of bullying. this is the letter she left behind:

"if i tried to get help, it would get worse and if i ratted on them that would not stop them."

its very sad, but it effects everyone differently, i really dont understand how people can do it. there is a difference between saying a comment u dont mean and deliberate bullying over time and thats the stuff i just dont get.

i experienced it a cuple of years ago at skool, i was the victim for no reason, they made up a whole heap of crap about me.....all i could ask was y? wat did i do wrong? it hurt me alot...

i feel so sorry for ppl who are bullyied when they are 2 young to understand, because bullying seems to be starting to move onto younger children and that is really sad.

its diffinately an issue that can cause many effects, that can really damage a person because it does effect every1 differently so i dont think any1 shuld eva risk saying sumthin mean even if they r joking coz it might not seem they r joking to the person recieving it...
