I am devastated. It is like someone is squeezing me so hard and I can't breathe. My husband, Liana's mother and I have been crying for so long that just when I think we have no more tears, they come again. Our beautiful and kind Liana... she is only 16!!! I can't sleep and the internet is not my friend, so much 'info' about MS. Don't know if it is true or not.

oh that is such a big thing, at that age too. If it is ANY type of consolation, I've known personally some who've managed to live reasonable lives, married, etc as there are some who often have remissions. I understand that others have real problems, like was it Jacquelline du Pre the cellist? Someone like that, but the ones I have personally known have achieved many things, and surely medical treatment has achieved much more since then.
xx Thinking of your family and especially your stepdaughter. I really DO understand, and for her, the sheer frustration.
PS I'm sure this is not so - but on the net one person was almost diagnosed with MS, but came across something re aspartate sensitivity. She was always on diets, and so opted for the sugar free, sugar replacement stuff. Once she went back to normal sugar products, or cut it out otherwise (so no more sugar-free, diet items) most of her problems disappeared. And even lactose intolerance, and wheat sensitivity etc can cause some terrible symptoms, not just hayfever, or rumbly tummies.

So, so sorry to hear that. The crying has to be done first, doesn't it, before you can all start moving forward. Maybe stop looking at the internet and wait and get some counselling or info from Liana's doctor that will help you with that.
Such a stressful thing to happen. I'll be thinking of you all.

There are some excellent support groups for MS. Don't get too caught up in what you read on the Inernet.
Shadow is right. There is so much being done in the fields of research for MS and allied diseases.
You'll probably all cry again but that's natural. All the very best to you, your family.. and especially your step-daughter.
I does help to talk to people going through similar situations.
Take care.

Massive *hugs* Oh my goodness she is so young. All good advice from everyone here. It never hurts to get a second opinion from a different Dr. The internet will make you crazy don't believe every thing you read as it always seems to focus on worst case scenarios. Much love to you and your family.xxx
